The Challenge

The Inde awards is an inaugural awards event hosted by Indesign Media Group since 2000, as a way to celebrate the diversity of design and creative spirit within the Indo-Pacific. This gala brings together creatives from all fields and corners of the region to shine a spotlight on the most progressive buildings, spaces, objects and people in design. In 2020, due to the  impacts of Covid-19, organisers reached out to our team to help them host the historically live event, entirely online.

The Solution

The strategic focus driving the event's digital transformation was to ensure that all stakeholders, partners and attendees received value, were entertained and felt connected to each other throughout the experience. Our team worked on developing a number of engaging experiences, incorporating live and pre-recorded content, digital networking spaces, private Q&A sessions with judges and nominees, partner sessions and offering exclusive behind the scenes content. We also created a branded event microsite for streaming, registration and attendee management. Virtual Event Boxes filled with wine, snacks and gifts were provided to all partners to help them to celebrate together to add an additional level of physical connectivity.

The Results

This year the awards saw a record breaking number of participants with 473 entries from 14 different regions. The live event reached 600+ viewers on the night with an additional 2K + views through their various streaming channels (youtube, facebook and website). By reimagining this traditionally live event and transforming it online, Indesign Media was able to continue connecting and celebrating the design and architecture industries of the Indo-Pacific and further power forward as the region's most trusted voice in architecture and design.
