James Hardie Modern Homes Forecast 2024 - Purpose Collective

Purpose Collective recently engaged us to help produce the 2024 James Hardie Modern Homes Forecast, an event launching James Hardie’s first annual research report highlighting the seven most popular and enduring home designs, created to assist homeowners in articulating what they want and help trades deliver on that vision.

The Challenge

The hybrid event was held at The Apartment, Hotel Centennial with 40 in-person attendees and approximately 700 online viewers. Hosted by Neale Whitaker, the event featured a panel discussion with experts Joe Snell, Futureflip, BuildHer Collective and HIA Senior Economist, Tom Devitt.

The Solution

To create a seamless experience for virtual attendees, Connected Event Group designed a custom James Hardie branded microsite where online participants could view and engage with the event stream. To foster interaction between the online audience and panelists, we integrated a Q&A feature into the microsite, which was moderated by a James Hardie representative.

As CEG were managing both the live and virtual elements, a dedicated Stream Director was onsite coordinating the live stream, ensuring that the online audio and video inputs were of high quality, managing the branded lower thirds and technically troubleshooting. We also had a Lead AV Technician managing both the in-house AV and our own equipment, ensuring that the in-person attendees had an engaging experience and the speakers felt technically supported.
